The backbone of Azimuth Technology’s AZTP-22 Precision Line is the aerospace-grade 7075 billet aluminum receiver. Critical functional sections are CNC-Machined to tolerances as tight as .0005”. The AZTP-22 receiver utilizes a unique dual internal rail design that prevents bolt canting and an integrated Picatinny rail for dependability. A matching bolt assembly is also available on select models.
Precision at Every Step
Each AZTP-22 Barreled Action features an AZT match-grade 12-groove precision button rifled .920” diameter fluted bull barrel, available in 4150 CM or 416R SS (threaded or non-threaded) and includes a complete matched bolt assembly with a stainless steel firing pin and oversized bolt handle. Azimuth’s internal barrel team maintains exceptional concentricity from chamber to crown, dampening vibration for perfect barrel harmonics. All AZT barrels are finished with HydraLap – Azimuth Technology’s proprietary bore polishing process. According to Azimuth, this process exceeds the performance of laborious hand lapping, in mirror finish and consistency, including the chamber.

Each barrelled receiver is hand-assembled, and precisely torqued to 20 in.-lbs, with witness marks applied to each screw. All barrels come with 1 in 16 rifling, unthreaded or threaded (1/2 by 28) with thread protector, and an 11° target crown. There are 32 different combinations for you to choose from. Combine one of these with your favorite 10/22 stock and you have a high performance rimfire.
