Civilian Marksmanship Program Shooting Scholarship

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) offers $1,000, one-year scholarship assistance to qualified junior shooters in order to encourage and reward their outstanding efforts.

The Civilian Marksmanship Program has renamed their Scholarship Program the “Carolyn Hines Memorial Scholarship Program.” There is an additional $5000 scholarship that will go to the Senior that best exemplifies her Ideals.

Along with the $1,000 scholarships awarded by the CMP, the Garand Collectors Association (GCA) has generously donated $10,000 to the CMP to be used for additional student-athlete scholarship earnings. The Top 10 recipients, determined by CMP staff and board members, will receive an extra $1,000 toward their furthered education.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP?

To be eligible for CMP scholarships, junior shooters must:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Be of good moral character.
  • Have achieved a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
  • Be a graduating high school senior.
  • Demonstrate acceptance to a university, college or trade school leading to a diploma or trade certification.
  • Demonstrate marksmanship competition experience.

Your completed scholarship application with all required documentation need to be postmarked no later than March 20, 2020. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
