CMMG RESOLUTE .350 Legend
CMMG RESOLUTE, chambered in .350 Legend, is now shipping to consumers.
The .350 Legend is the fastest straight-walled hunting cartridge available, with 20% less recoil and 20% more penetration than 243 Win. It comes as no surprise that CMMG was first to chamber the .350 Legend in the AR platform. CMMG is known for its innovation of the AR, most recently with Radial Delayed Blowback, POWERBOLT Mid-Sized Platform for 7.62×39 and non-traditional calibers, RipBrace/RipStock Technology, and its AR Conversion Kits.
The .350 Legend is a .223 case blown out to have straight walls, making it the perfect cartridge for deer hunting in straight-walled cartridge states. The diameter of the round allows usage of an existing AR15 bolt and lower. A simple barrel and magazine swap from a .223/5.56 will have users shooting .350 Legend in no time, effectively taking game at distances up to 250 yards.
States such as Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, and others, have been waiting for this cartridge in an AR. The .450 Bushmaster causes pain to the shooter’s shoulder and the wallet. Hunters and shooters alike will appreciate the retail price of .350 Legend ammunition, which is more comparable to .223/5.56.
There are 3 different options for those looking at the .350 Legend. All models feature a 16.1″ 4140CM 1:16 twist barrel, with carbine length gas port location and a threaded 1/2×28 muzzle. The hand guard is the CMMG RML15 M-Lok. All models ship with a proprietary10rd magazine standard.
The 100 series features Mil-Spec hardware. Standard issue pistol grip, trigger guard, safety and M4 style buttstock. The receivers and handguard are hard coat anodized. With an MSRP of $1,049.95, this is the entry-level option from CMMG.
The 200 series steps things up a Magpul MOE pistol grip and trigger guard. A CMMG SV Brake replaces the standard flash hider. Lastly, the CMMG RipStock 6 position enhanced receiver extension and ambi sling plate finish the upgrades. An MSRP of $1,224.95 puts the 200 series just $175 over the base 100 series. This is the level that most buyers should start looking, the addition of the RipStock makes it worth the small price increase.
Finally, the 300 series is the top of the line offering from CMMG. Featuring all the same upgrades from the 200 series with the addition of an oversized ambi charging handle, ambi safety, Cerakoted receivers, and handguard plus a Geissele SSA 2-Stage trigger. The 300 series is available in 10 different colors at no additional cost. Speaking of cost the 300 series carries an MSRP of $1,549.95
If you want to dip your toe into the .350 Legend without a new firearm then you are in luck. CMMG also offers complete .350 Legend uppers, barrels, and magazines that can be purchased separately.
