Hogue’s Doug Ritter Fixed Blade Available At Knifeworks.com
Hogue is making the Gen 2 version of the Doug Ritter fixed blade knife, the RSK Mk3-G2. It’s available only through Knifeworks.com. The RSK Mk3-G2 knife features a 4.5-inch drop-point blade of Crucible’s CPM S45VN steel with a high flat grind. With its handle with black G10 scales, the knife has an overall length of 9.25 inches.
Ritter Fixed Blade Now Made By Hogue
Doug Ritter is Ritter is the founder and chairman of Knife Rights (KnifeRights.org), America’s knife owner advocacy organization that has been responsible for helping to repeal numerous knife bans and senseless knife laws across the U.S. Proceeds from his knife sales allow him to continue that work. Ritter’s knife designs, once produced by Benchmade, are now made by Hogue. The RSK Mk3-G2 is an upgraded version of the original RSK Mk3 that Ritter introduced in 2006. Its G10 scales feature Ritter’s trademark sunburst pattern, the same used on Ritter’s folding knife designs.
An All-Around Fixed Blade For Hunting, Survival
According to Ritter, his aim in developing the RSK Mk3-G2 was to upgrade his practical utility, survival and hunting fixed blade and still sell it at a price that would be, if not cheap, at least affordable.
“The RSK Mk3-G2, with its 4.5-inch blade, has proven adept at typical survival, camp and hunting chores, such as making shelters, splitting wood for fires, skinning game and the like,” he said. “It is just the right size, in my experience; a perfect compromise in size and weight between a typical EDC folder and a larger and much heavier fixed blade.”
The knife features a thumb ramp with jimping for added control and a half guard. The tang extends slightly beyond the end of the handle scales for use in light hammering.

The knife comes with a black ballistic nylon sheath with a snap closure retention strap and an ambidextrous Kydex liner for multiple carry options.
