Ruger 10/22 Magpul Stock Filled With Features
This latest takedown 10/22, model 31152, features the Magpul X-22 Backpacker Stock. This stock has been available as a separate item you could install yourself. Now it comes already installed from Ruger. It has a unique locking interface. So, when you take the rifle down into its two main components, you can attach the barrel assembly to the receiver for easy transport in a bag or backpack.
The stock features an integrated storage compartment in the grip as well as a hinged storage compartment in the stock. That compartment can store up to three spare 10-round magazines. It has an ergonomic handguard, optional QD sling mounting capability and an MOE SL non-slip rubber butt pad.
Same Great Ruger 10/22 Takedown Features
As with earlier Ruger 10/22 takedown models, this version enables you to separate the barrel from the action quickly for ease of transportation and storage. All that’s required is for you to lock the bolt back and verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart.
Simple reassembly allows for a secure connection of the barrel and action. It returns the firearm to zero, even when receiver-mounted optics are used. That ensures consistent accuracy, shot after shot. Of course, this rifle features the legendary Ruger 10/22 action. It uses the same 10-round, flush-fitting rotary magazines. Four BX-1 10-round magazines are included with the rifle.
Threaded Barrel, Scope Base And More
The stainless steel barrel is 16.4 inches long. Its precision-rifled and cold hammer-forged barrel. The barrel is threaded and is compatible with Ruger’s Silent-SR sound suppressor.
A combination scope base adapter for both Weaver-style and .22 tip-off scope mounts is included.
The heat-stabilized, glass-filled, polymer trigger housing assembly is precision made for improved manufacturing tolerances, impact and abrasion-resistance. It is designed to withstand the elements.
