SCI’s Hunter Advocacy Action Center a Vital Resource for Hunters Amid Election

Safari Club International equips sportsmen and women to protect their right to hunt now and for decades to come through the Hunter Advocacy Action Center. As the only pro-hunting organization in Washington, D.C. with full-time policy experts and in-house legal counsel dedicated to protecting the freedom to hunt, SCI is uniquely positioned to connect members with elected officials to make their voice heard on issues, such as expanding hunting access, land management, trophy import bans, and other important conservation legislation.

The Hunter Advocacy Action Center helps hunters take action on the issues that personally affect them with links and instructions to engage in public comment submissions and petitions, ensuring their interests are represented in the political process. The convenience of an SMS-based service has enabled SCI members to easily register and respond to issues and making a difference on critically important issues. Launched in 2019, the Hunter Advocacy Action Center now has representation in all 50 states and Canada. It has already helped SCI members make thousands of direct connections with elected officials at the state and federal level.

The Hunter Advocacy Action Center is now a vital resource for hunters during an election year with serious second amendment and conservation policy implications. Hunters can register to receive important alerts via text message or email to stay up-to-date on SCI’s latest issues. Through the Hunter Advocacy Action Center, sportsmen and women can enter their information to access details on their elected officials and candidates at every level plus a “Voter Toolkit” to help them defend their rights and make informed decisions at the polls.

Some of the most basic rights outdoorsmen, and women enjoy every day are in jeopardy. While navigating policy and political jargon can be complicated, the Hunter Advocacy Action Center compiles all the research data. It makes it simple for any hunter to understand each candidate’s stance on the most pivotal issues and vote accordingly. And when those elected officials introduce legislation that infringes on hunter rights, SCI educates members on the actionable steps they can take to oppose these policies. The program empowers hunters to take a personal role in ensuring their gun rights are protected, natural resources are properly conserved, and the hunting heritage is preserved for future generations.

The Hunter Advocacy Action Center is available to all hunters and does not require an SCI membership. To register for the Hunter Advocacy Action Center and help protect the freedom to hunt, text SCI to 73075 or visit safariclub.org.
