SPRO Introduces New Models Of Its King Daddy Frog Lures
There’s nothing like the action created by using a frog lure for bass or pike. And now SPRO (Sports Professionals) has added four more versions to its King Daddy series of popular top-water lures.
Bigger Is Better With These Frog Lures
The frog lures in the King Daddy line feature an oversized, larger-than-life profile.
The Bronzeye Frog 90 King Daddy was built 30 percent bigger than the original to give multi-species anglers the profile to entice the largest predators out of hiding.
“The King Daddy is the biggest frog on the market,” said SPRO Pro and lure designer Dean Rojas.
“If you want explosive topwater action with the biggest bass or muskies, you need to fish a King Daddy.”
These Frog Lures Proven On Large Fish
Rojas, a B.A.S.S. Elite Series angler, worked with SPRO in developing these frog lures 15 years ago. Through the years, they have worked to create different baits to excel in specific conditions.
These lures make use of heavy-duty Gamakatsu double hooks that aid in positive hookups. They’re strong enough to play fish through the densest weeds using the beefiest rods and strongest braids.
They’re designed to chug and sputter through thick vegetation without hanging up or snagging. The walking action also excels in open water, drawing fish from submerged cover for adrenaline-inducing surface blow-ups.
The one-ounce King Daddy is 90mm long. Its size and weight allows for extra casting distance so you can hit the pads you couldn’t reach from your boat previously.
Anglers Asked For These New Color Variations
“We’ve added four of the most popular colors from our other frogs to the King Daddy line,” Rojas said.
“Anglers wanted our proven Navy Seal, Yellow Sparkle, Outback and Albino colors in a larger size to target bigger fish. Albino is one of my favorites because it allows me to easily customize the bait to match forage species or light conditions with just a paint marker.”
Other Color Are Still Available
Along with the four new color variations, these frog lures are available in Midnight Walker, Leopard, Nasty Shad, Natural Green, Killer Gill, Rainforest Black, Natural Red and Green Tree Frog.
The SPRO Bronzeye Frog 90 King Daddy has a suggested retail price of $16.22.
