Vickers Tactical GLOCK 43

Larry Vickers has once again teamed up with Lipseys to offer the fifth iteration of the “Vickers GLOCK”.

The Vickers Tactical edition GLOCK 43 was first seen at SHOT Show in January this year. The G43 is a single stack 9mm that was first introduced in 2015 at the NRA Annual Meeting. Since then it has become a de facto choice for concealed carry. The all-new Vickers Tactical addition bolsters the pistol with the well-known TangoDown Parts kit which includes custom enhanced slide lock, enhanced magazine release and Vickers plus two magazine extension. These parts should be familiar to those with the previous generations of Vickers GLOCK’s. Wilson Combat rear sight and AmeriGlo ProGlo tritium front sight in yellowish-green round out the add ons.

What is new for the G43 is the addition of front cocking serrations. This is a first for the G43 and a Vickers Tactical edition exclusive. LAV serial numbers are also unique to the Lipsey’s exclusive.

Larry Vickers was all-in on the latest Lipsey’s Exclusive addition stating, “The GLOCK 43 has been one of the most popular GLOCKs ever made and we have seen that in our part sales as well. It only made sense to do a special run of G43’s with Lipsey’s. The end result is an excellent carry gun and one I’m proud to be affiliated with.” Lipsey’s Vice President and Product Development Manager, Jason Cloessner, stated “The Vickers GLOCK series of guns are one of our most successful projects to date. Our customers kept asking for a smaller, easier to carry Vickers GLOCK and Larry didn’t disappoint. The Vickers GLOCK 43 is an incredible value that gives you a ready to go carry option right out of the box.”

Final Thoughts

At a suggested $538 the Vickers Tactical GLOCK 43 should retail for roughly $100 more than you can pick up a base G43. This is the price of adding just the Wilson Combat Rear Sight/AmeriGlo ProGlo Tritium Front Sights. So you could consider the Tango Down/Vickers parts as freebies. That is roughly $60 worth of upgrades in those parts alone. So you might be thinking sights and small parts big deal but don’t forget about the front slide serrations. That will run you about $100 plus to have done on the aftermarket.

The bottom line is if you are in the market for a GLOCK 43 then you should pick up the Vickers Tactical G43, but you better hurry because the Vickers guns move fast.
